EU Horizon 2020 project EPOS started

The EU Horizon 2020 project EPOS (Enhanced energy and resource Efficiency and Performance in process industry Operations via onsite and cross-sectorial Symbiosis) held its kick-off meeting on 18 October 2015 in Brussels.

Strongly supported by the SCCER EIP partners INEOS Europe and ETHZ-IPESE, EPOS brings together six global process industries from six key relevant sectors (steel, cement, minerals, chemicals, bio-based/life science products and engineering).

EPOS’ main objective is to enable cross-sectorial industrial symbiosis and provide a wide range of technological and organisational options for making business and operations more efficient, more cost-effective, more competitive and more sustainable across process sectors.
